I don&#039;t know if you&#039;ve posted this, but the Thief of Baghdad, due to be screened on the 1st June with Carl Davis conducting the Philharmonia has been quietly replaced with a concert performance of modern film music.. no explanation has been posted or offered..

Just a slight correction, as far as we know (and according to Denis Gifford), THE HERNCRAKE WITCH was directed by Mark Melford (not Jackey), although she did appear on-screen as the witch&#039;s daughter. She wrote and directed one film called THE INN ON THE HEATH, which - according to Gifford - starred her father, but I suspect the film may actually have been made after he died.
